Applied this myself to our new kitchen countertop. I did apply it in two passes but I'm not sure that the second pass was needed. At any rate, it works very well to prevent water, etc from getting into the granite. Water can stay on top for hours without any getting through.

Did two coats, following instructions, and water now beads on the surface (except in one spot that I somehow missed next to a faucet). Quick and easy application, easy clean-up, low odor. Good stuff!

Advanced penetrating microbond protection Maximum protection against all stains Makes cleaning stone easier Preserves natural look Water-based low-solids coating Interior & exterior Where to Use Natural stone such as marble, granite, limestone, slate, terrazzo, travertine & sandstone. Best suited for the most porous stone surfaces. Directions Always test in a small inconspicuous area with a 24-hour cure time to determine ease of application and desired results. Allow new grout installations to cure for a minimum of 72 hours prior to application. Make sure surface is clean, dry and free of waxes and coatings. Mask off and protect any baseboards or adjacent areas to avoid splashing and overspray onto surfaces not intended to be treated. Sealer may be applied to damp surfaces one hour after standing water has been removed. Liberally apply an even coat using a paint pad, low-pressure chemical-resistant sprayer, roller or brush. Allow sealer to penetrate the surface for 15-30 minutes. During this time, distribute excess over entire area to insure even penetration. Wipe entire surface thoroughly with clean dry towel. A second coat may be needed for porous, absorbent surfaces and should be applied 30-40 minutes after initial application as directed in steps 3-4. If needed, dampen white nylon pad with sealer to remove residue and dry again thoroughly with clean dry towel. A full cure is achieved after 24-72 hours; foot traffic may begin in 6-8 hours. Cover with red rosin paper, if foot traffic must resume before the recommended time periods have passed. Clean equipment with water. Size and Coverage - Pint: 25 - 150sq. ft. Expected Wear: 3-5 years on interior surfaces & 1-3 years on exterior surfaces.

I like the sound of this fountain but the look of it up close and the power of the motor leave much to be desired. If the water in it evaporates, even with the fountain off, you may have trouble getting the fountain to restart. Last time mine was off for a while I had to add a little vinegar to the water to loosen the water deposits in the pump and get it running again. The plastic petals slip over a central column in three stages and the motor quickly loses the power to pump fast enough to fill the third stage. The light it not as bright as shown here either. You would not notice it in daylight.

I like a fountain in my kitchen, and my cats love drinking from the running water. I thought this would work as something that they wouldn't demolish.

It looks surprisingly good when it is actually running. You know that you're just getting plastic at this price so I wasn't expecting any great work of art. And it has a loud enough water sound to be pleasant.

However, it is really, really hard to put together. Yes, you have to find and read the directions, but, no, the directions really don't match reality. For example, the tube from the pump to the base of the "flower" cannot be attached before you try to settle everything in the base of the fountain. The tube sort of touches the flower base - that's about the best you can do - and there's no way to connect it securely. Best I found was long needle-nose pliers to attach that tube last after the rest of the installation was complete. Oh,and they don't mention that what looks like a light bulb too big to fit in the hole on the bottom of the "flower" is actually the light bulb very, very securely encased in a protective sleeve which you have to remove to get the bulb to fit where it should. Then, once it is together, the water doesn't automatically run evenly and nicely over the edges. You have to rotate the middle layer of the flower to adjust it so that water doesn't spill over the edge - and some parts will just not get water.

Then there's the unsteadiness of the whole thing once it is together - very easy to knock over, especially by a curious cat. AND the pump is very, very weak. I've had it less than a month and already it has stopped working once after I had to reassemble it. I discovered that something was just binding it up, took off the filter, flipped the switch back on, and did a quick "jump start" by flicking the impeller with an ice pick and it's running fine again - but it doesn't inspire confidence in how long it will last.

I got this from Target and, despite my usual method of checking out the reviews for something online BEFORE buying it, this was an impulse buy for me. I brought it home and then did my research--not good reviews at all. I figured I'd give it a chance so I set it up--yes, the instructions are confusing. I cleaned everything prior to starting it to make sure fuzzy junk doesn't get into the pump just like it recommended, and lo and behold, the pump is very noisy anyway. I couldn't hear any of the water, no matter how much or little water was in there. I was disappointed in the pitiful bag of rocks they included, so I went and got some little glass ones from Wal-mart in hopes that it would help the fountain make more waterfall-y noises, and, I suppose it did a little. For a short while at least. It took much maneuvering of the second and third tier basically every time I turned it on to get 'babbling' or 'drizzle' whatever it is water does, but it still doesn't mask the noise of the pump. I tried to give it a shot anyways, trying to convince myself that the pump acted as sort of a 'white noise machine' ....but that didn't work so well. I think i might end up returning it. Not quite sure yet.
I went and bought some algae destroyer from the pet shop, since some comments say that the pedals/tiers are easily discolored due to hard water or algae, but really I've only had it a while so I doubt this will be a problem any time soon, however I do recommend it for anyone who has a fountain, so it doesn't need to be cleaned as much--probably only once a month with the stuff.
The thing as a whole is pretty, especially when in a dark room and you can see the light flickering through the water on the wall and ceiling, but I'm just not sold on this thing yet. Maybe a couple more days.

We purchased these for our older children (8,7,4) as a set of walkie talkies that would last for a long time. So far so good. In our neighborhood, we get about 1/2 mile range (solid suburbia, lots of trees). I find them execptionally useful for when they go to friends houses, I can contact them directly and ask them to come home - or they can ask if they can go inside, without me calling the neighbor and bothering them, or my kids running back across our street to get permission to go inside. The call beeps are very annoying, although our children love to use the different beeps (5 of them) for whatever reason children like to make lots of noise. I purchased a set of rechargable NiMH AA's and am very glad I did. I hate to throw batteries away, and this way, I don't mind them using them constantly. Bottom line, tough usable, would recommend highly

I recently purchased two radios before going on vacation to the beach. I wasn't quite sure how I would use them. My husband and our girls soon learned we couldn't do without them. While some of us were at the beach, we could radio back to the beach house for anything we had forgotten. While bike riding as the four of us got separated, we radioed our position. We even felt comfortable leaving our girls in the house, ages 6 and 10 in the beach house while we went for walks on the beach. The reception was perfect, totally more conveinent than cell phones. We will definitely bring them along for our hiking trip to Colorado in the fall.

I bought a pair of the FR60 radios as a birthday present to myself, after much debate. I wanted Motorola because of their stellar reputation, but I couldn't afford to go all out. This radio is an excellent choice for people who want Motorola without breaking the bank. I think the quality of the radio can be summed up with one anecdote...my 6-year-old son and I ran for dinner one night and brought a radio, leaving the other with my wife and 4-year-old daughter. If you've seen the latest McDonald's commercial, you'll know what's coming...my son held the radio up to the counter, and my daughter was able to place her order from home. Now, at four years old, it can be difficult to decipher what she's saying in person, but the cashier had a crystal-clear conversation with my daughter, who was 1.5 miles away, sitting in our kitchen. That's clarity! We take the radios everywhere now...little league games, the beach, the mall, name it. Sure, it's a gadget, and I could lead a hapy life without it, but it sure is fun to use and an incredible convenience! Buy this radio...or buy many for everyone in your family!

Motorola FR60:: Description

Motorola is famous for its great FRS radios, and its Talkabout FR-60 offers perhaps the best combination of price and performance we've seen. The FR-60 communicates on all 14 FRS channels and also has 38 sub-codes (also known as privacy codes) per channel, so it usually isn't too tough to find an open channel in a crowded place. It also offers great sound clarity and a range that met or exceeded that of any other FRS radio we've tested.

The dark blue device is solidly constructed, and although it isn't the smallest FRS radio on the market, it is very comfortable to hold. The large transmit button on the side is rubber-coated and easy to press when you need to talk, but difficult to press by accident. A small red LED lights up on the top when you are transmitting, so you can always tell if the device is working. A bullet-shaped knob on the top is used to turn the radio on and adjust the volume, and the small rubber antenna bends a bit and therefore is unlikely to snap off if you drop the radio. There's a menu key that's used in conjunction with up/down arrows to select channels and choose a call tone. The FR-60 has five of these tones, which can be used to call other people on your same channel by transmitting a short series of beeps and chirps that alert the other people in your party that you are about to speak.

The FR-60 was a joy to use, providing great sound quality throughout the volume range. We never achieved the two-mile maximum range Motorola advertises, but then again, no FRS radio will unless you are using it on a large body of water or across an enormous empty field. Suffice it to say the FR-60's real-world performance was right up there with the best of them, and even though two of the radios are fairly costly, it's still a great value if you need the features it offers. --T. Agree with everyone else, this is SO SOFT and so plush! Amazingly comfortable. Two minor issues though - you can feel the bumps at the edge of each square a bit, and the skirt is HUGE and doesn't fit even remotely snug around my 16 inch 76x80 mattress (king). It slips around every night and I have to move it back in the morning. Any suggestions?

As others have mentioned, this mattress pad is very comfortable. I haven't had any problems with slipping - it fits my mattress perfectly.

The only issue is washing it - it is HUGE because it's so fluffy, and I learned the hard way I have to set the water level in the washer to low or it floods because it's so large and doesn't absorb a lot. Once you know that, however, it's really a gem of a product.

These are great bins. The only reason why I can't give it 5 stars is because it's $50 for 3 bins!! What really urks me is that Wal Mart has these exact same for $10 each. Only they are grey and I am picky about the coloring. I bought a set of these here with a $25 gift card so I wouldn't feel guilty about paying so much. Well, my wife and I love to recycle everything possible, so we want to get another 3. Just got another $25 gift card so it's justified again....I guess.

These bins are really great though. The lids have managed to stay open most of the time, but they are thin plastic that holds them up so I don't forsee it working forever. Like other reviews, the green is not so neon like in the picture. In fact, these bins are very attractive and I'm proud to display them in the garage. They really do hold a bunch of cans, milk jugs and glass, but not so much cardboard boxes. So it's a great product if you can justify spending $50. If not, check your Walmart in the bin section for some grey ones w/ black tops.

If you're looking at this, you're probably familiar with the leading brand. I think this one works way, way better. The frame is stiffer, there's an extra brush on the bottom, the brushes are stiffer, the side brushes are farther apart so boots fit better, the tops of the frames are scrapers, and since the underside is open it doesn't clog up, the mud falls out.

This thing is awesome. When they say "heavy duty" they're not kidding! The steel is THICK and strong. The brushes are rigid and stiff and do a terrific job of scrubbing the grit out of my tennis shoes before stepping onto the doormat and onto our hardwood floors. That grit is like sandpaper on our floors, particularly when it's rainy out.

My only complaint is the screws provided for mounting the device. It *WILL* have to be mounted to use, otherwise it will tip and rock as you try to clean your shoe, and you won't be able to get much accomplished. The screws are pretty "fat" and have a phillips head. I tried to drive the first screw into my deck using my cordless drill and stripped out the head. The next screw I put in after having drilled a pilot hole, but I still spun it before it was 100% cinched down. It would have made much more sense had they included hardened hex-head lag bolts for mounting. I ended up using lag bolts I bought at the hardware store. A template would have been helpful too, along with maybe some brief mounting instructions...

Despite the cheap-o mounting screws, lack of template or instructions, I still give this thing five stars. It's just that good!

I had it for about 1.5 years, and it stopped working.

I have been a soymilk-maker user for years , and I had used Joyoung brand product when I lived in China. However for this one, after using it for 1 year, moisture somehow made its way into the motor chamber. I've been always very careful cleaning it. I don't believe the water leaked in when I washing it. It's a very thin mist. After some frequent use(I used it every day), some areas of the motor chamber were not sealed as well as it should have been. I had to open it up and dry the moisture out. After 6 months of open-dry-use every other week, it finally died for good.

I was hoping it would last about 3 years. It's a little disappointing, though it worked very well when it was working.

Wow, I have this soy milk machine and love it. It's so great and simple to use. I am on my second one - my mother in law borrowed our first one and wouldn't give it back. This is the best one we've tried, it's so easy and the soy milk quality is awesome, better than any store purchased soy milk. We haven't purchased any soy milk in the two years that we've had this. It's very good quality and has never broken down or given me any problems. Highly recommended.

I used to make soymilk from scratch. It always overflows before it's boiled. So this machinie is perfect for me. The operation is very easy, just like the Coffee machine: put dry/soaked soybean in the container, and press the buttom, wait for 15 minutes, that's it.
The soymilk comes out silky and tasty, much better than the one from the supermarket. Of course, it is organic, and fresh. I also add various nuts, red dates to make the taste of milk various.
For the leftover from soymilk, I mixed with 2 egges, add salt, pepper and green onion, pan fry two sides. It tastes like frying toufu, but has better texture than that. So please try before you throw this away.
Overall, it saves money in long term, so I highly recommend.

This canner is excellent. It is very heavy, and you don't have to worry about the rubber seal because there isn't one. I bought one this year because my okra and tomatoes just wouldn't stop producing. But I have also used it as a boiling water canner for making fig jam, peach jam, pear jam...ect... I've also made pickles both sweet and dill. Comes with very clear instructions and you can begin to use it the day it is delivered - as long as you have the rest of the canning equip. Now the only problem is where to hide it so that my darling spouse won't use it every day !

Let no one doubt the superiority of American made products and particularly the Wisconsion Alumnum Foundry pressure canner/cooker that promises to provide a lifetime of reliable service. The price is higher than one might expect but compared to the quality of design and operation it is an absolute bargain.

I purchased this pressure cooker to do home canning. I am truly impressed with the product. It is build rock solid. A feature that I particularly enjoy is the lack of rubber seal required to use the cooker. The only problem I had with this item was the steamer plate that is used to elevate the canning jars above the bottom of the pot. It pitted easily and is not made of the same high quality aluminum that the pot is. Otherwise, the canner is built like a tank and weighs as much too.
